Iceland: 3rd - 11th March (2017!)

Howdy!
With hindsight, I probably should have announced this earlier! Alas... I am always late (I was even late coming into this world!) so this is no reason to be any different! 😂
I am flying to Iceland 🇮🇸 in literally a couple of days! I'll be there from the 3rd to 11th March and am staying centrally in Reykjavik. I realise this is super short notice, and whilst I have a few trips booked I am pretty much free for the rest of the week; so if any of you live in vercinity of Reykjavik, let a gal know
be lovely to meet up for coffee (or hot chocolate!) or a snow photo shoot seeing as that's kinda come on in the last couple of days!
Anyways, that was it! Bye for now!

Things that happened to me in 2016:

Things that happened to me in 2016; the good, the bad and the ugly.
* I made a New Years resolution to lose weight and become fitter; so far I've lost 2 stone.
* I created art. Infrequently. But still created it.
* I bought a Fitbit.
* I reconnected with my birthday twinsie arrsistable - who I am so so so so grateful for, every day ♥️

* I was called a cunt, a whore and a bitch by a work colleague and then blamed for their outburst and cautioned by management.
* I relapsed and I cut myself again.
* I worked for the company for another 3 months after the outburst before my anxiety and depression really took its toll.
* I wrote a suicide note. I ripped it up and burnt it.
* I had a "confidential" conversation with another colleague at work about my anxiety, the stress induced office environment & the colleague who verbally abused me and got away with it. She decided to tell management who decided to cautioned me again - it would go on my permanent record.
* I wrote a 2nd suicide note. I planned my suicide.
* I planned to get hit by a train.
* I planned to get hit by a train.
* I handed in my notice.
* I left 2 days later.
* I ripped up the 2nd suicide note.
* I took part in GISHWHES for the 4th year running! We didn't win, we never do. It doesn't matter, I had fun!
* My ex girlfriend told me she was pregnant.
* I applied for 300+ jobs, I got 3-4 interviews.
* I went to Belfast.
* I photographed things, people, night skies and horses. Lots and lots of horses.
* I met new people who loved my fan art and so I created more and more and more. It's a bit of an obsession.
* I created art on my phone; it was difficult but I persevered. I conquered.
* I got on a plane and flew to Australia.
* I rode a horse on the beach in Tasmania!!

* I met the stunningly gorgeous fillyrox and her equally beautiful (think I have a mini crush!) fellow Aussie Chunga-Stock.
* We travelled, and I fell in love with my life again.
* I got to hold a wombat. I fell in love with a wombat. I wanted to take the wombat home. (I wasn't allowed)
* I successfully photographed (multiple photos) of the Milky Way at the Twelve Apostles in Australia.
* Seeing the Milky Way with my bare eyes not on one occasion but twice! Was incredible. ♥️
* I met up with alais-photography in her home city (Sydney). And it was time very very well spent!
* I flew home and had the WHOLE row of my seat section free on BOTH flights aboard Qantas A380 - fucking bliss! 💋
* I had loads of interviews. I had no job offers.
* I burnt a bridge and buried a hatchet.
* I bought Wilson some agility jumps. Turns out we suck at it.

* I'm crushing Chyler Leigh. (No shame!)
* I started working for a charity Christmas card shop in my local vicinity.
* This didn't make me feel Christmassy.
* I went to a Christmas Fair in Winchester.
* I'd never been to Winchester.
* I had an interview.
* I had a 2nd interview.
* I was offered the job. I start in January 2017.
* I did 35,789 steps in one single day.
* I photographed Autumn.
* I fell in love with peonies.
* I listened to children scream in the library for 14hrs straight. I decided that I never want children.
* I was invited to a Christmas party of my future employers. I went, I rocked the 50s style dress I was wearing.
* I bought and wore fucking gorgeous red stilettos. 👠
* Christmas came and went. I didn't feel Christmassy.
* My ex girlfriend had her baby.
* My brother came home from Singapore.
* I drive to Cardiff today for NEW YEARS EVE.
* I start my new job on the 3rd January 2017.
* Goodbye 2016. Hello 2017.
The point of me writing this was to truly say goodbye to the last year and to start this new year fresh. I'm not proud of what I had to do to get through this last year, especially the beginning of it. But I am proud that I'm still alive because of all the happy things that happened afterwards.
Here's to 2017!

legitimately the best travel holiday!!

So I'm writing this real quick whilst I {a} have signal and {b} am not bouncing around on a minibus/in a car/on a boat/plane/or just general walking!!
Yesterday fillyrox and I went on a boat tour to Bruny Island in Tasmania, it was immense, beautiful, smelly (seals), picturesque and fookin' freezing! No wait, that's not an understatement, it really is freezing here; far colder than the UK right now.
I'll get down to the gist of this cause otherwise it could be LOOOONNNNGGGG!! So we're on the bus coming back, bouncy, bouncy and we've asked if we can be dropped off outside our (casino) hotel, walking up the drive all achy breaky cause we went riding the day before for 3hrs in rain or shine and are so sore it's not even funny!
Anyway, half way up the drive I'm (oblivious me!) talking rubbish and Jacinta is being a gem and just responding and there's this chick walking towards us, did I mention that I'm oblivious?!? Well yeah I really fucking am! Cause this chicka turns out to be Chunga-Stock and I didn't even realise till I was nearly on top of her!!! 😂😂😂😂
ANDDDDDD SHE'S FUCKING AWESOME!! Absolutely bloody awesome, both Cassie (Chunga) and Jacinta (filly) were able to keep this from me this whole time! (Assholes) no but really! They are aces and we're gonna have an ace time this week... and think of the stock....

leavin' on a jet plane..

Well folks, the time has come for me to fly away again, most of you will know that I am off to the land of Oz to spend some time with family and friends and of course take a much needed holiday especially after these passed couple of months.
I wasn't specific before as I wasn't sure just how specific I could be without getting into hot water. After a very stressful time in the office dealing with workplace bullying and various disgusting and vulgar outbursts by the bully (my boss' daughter) I reached the end of my very short tether and resigned from my current job back in July. I was immediately put onto garden leave due to the nature of our business and access to sensitive data my boss no longer wanted me to have access to. I was on this garden leave till the end of August (garden leave is basically like saying serve out your notice period at home, which is great because you don't have to go into work, but you're not allowed to accept another job before it ends because you're still being paid by your current employer. You're also not allowed to have any contact with any other employees or set foot on the premises). I'm being very reserved about the true nature of my resignation because of what happened but also because any potential employer in the future might gain this information some how and it may affect my future work opportunities. So I ask that if you are particularly curious as to what actually happened and just how many times I was called a see you next Tuesday whilst in earshot of customers, that you send me a note please and we can talk about it there. Thank you.
So now back to the business at hand! I'm finally going away and it's felt like bloody months and you have no idea how glad I am that it is finally here because not only do I get to see my brother in Melbourne in a couple of days but I also get to meet the lovely fillyrox for a joint trip in Tasmania and my long time friend alais-photography in Sydney. I've had the last 8 months to plan this and yet am only squeezing everything in to the last couple of days (which is always the way right!?) 
Whilst I can't post a proper item by item itinerary of what I am doing and when, I do aim to keep a blog updated as best I can when I'm traveling; the link is here: underdifferentstars.blogspot.c… and you're all very welcome And this is where I will be on what dates, I have a pretty stead-fast schedule in Melbourne and Hobart and a very flexible one in Sydney - so if anyone wants to hang out at the end of my stay (Sydney) I'll be at the Q Station in Manly (which as I understand it is haunted.. hooray!)
